Perhaps beyond happiness is wisdom.
Similar to how at first people think the game is having nice clothes, belongings, and a watch, then a high income, then being rich, and then being wealthy.
Maybe there is a progression from exciting to novel to worthwhile, to good to happy, and maybe wisdom is an extension on that path.
Consider that at first you play the game, you win the game, you master the game, and you make the rules of the game.
Something like that, perhaps.
