Out of touch with modern civil rights?
Aggressively pedestrian.
Concerned more about money and preserving their wealth than equality?
Seems like the baby boomers were born 1946-64 and were called the Me Generation by Tom Wolfe bc they were perceived to be narcissists. Now they are the same people criticizing the Millenial generation (their kids) about not being tough enough in the workplace.
When they were growing up, house costs were about 2x-3x the median household salary. Now median house costs are 5.5x.
The Gen Z are I guess the grand kids of the Boomers essentially. And well, I have a feeling that they end up being like the boomers. Boomers went from the civil rights generation to corporate stiffs.
Right now, Gen Z is all anti everything, like Gen X punk burnouts, but they like LGBTQ+ stuff.
Seems like they end up becoming like Boomers anyway. Why? So anti the system that they end up becoming it.
Millenals? Who knows? Seems like they actually just want to vibe and be stable because we have had 9/11 in high school, graduated college into the Great Recession economy of shit to no jobs, then just as we are hitting our earnings stride in 2020 there is a global pandemic that shuts down almost everything.
I know a lot of people who have just earned a bunch of money in tech and taken sabaticcals. Financial independence movements (FIRE) like they used to have are popular too. Van life is a big movement. Tiny houses. Pets instead of kids.
Who knows?
